After obtaining my teaching degree in Primary Education at Birmingham City University, I spent five years teaching in different cities in England. I have taught in year groups from Year 1 to Year 6 and have loved every year group I have taught.
In 2016, I decided to travel to experience different countries and was able to volunteer in Vietnam and teach in a primary school in New Zealand. While I loved being part of a different community, I felt I wanted to be closer to Europe and be a full-time teacher again. I was very excited to join The British School Warsaw in 2018 and live in Poland. I started teaching here at our Early Years campus as Year 1 Learning Leader and moved over to Limanowskiego in 2019 to take on the role of Assistant Head leading the core curriculum.
When I am not teaching, I love to travel, meet people from all over the world and try different cuisines. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking and the occasional thrill-seeking experience, such as skydiving! I love reading science fiction and fantasy novels and loved visiting New Zealand as I could obsess over Lord of the Rings. I have been able to explore much of Poland during my time here with my favourite places being Wroclaw, Niedzica and Mazury.
