OUR BRITISH PRIMARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM

At Regent’s Bangkok, our Primary school students (ages 5 to 11) follow a carefully planned, personalised journey through Key Stage 1 and 2 of the English National Curriculum.

Our Primary curriculum is sequential, ensuring every concept builds on the last and every year group prepares for the next. This includes a Year 1 transition programme that bridges any gaps between the Early Years and Primary.

Supported by our Primary education specialists – and with wellbeing front and centre – your child will learn with joy and confidence, immersed in thematic topics that connect different subjects and ideas. Classroom learning is enriched by a wide-ranging extra-curricular programme that brings out the absolute best in every child.

YEARS 1 AND 2

KEY STAGE 1

At Key Stage 1, Regent's Bangkok's Primary teachers focus on our students’ English language progression, literacy, and numeracy skills, building on the foundations laid by our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Through engaging themes and hands-on projects, we also introduce our children to History, Geography, Science, Art, Design Technology, ICT, PE, and Foreign Languages (Mandarin and Thai).

Learning is progressive, designed to gently nurture leadership skills, a connection to the world, and a sense of adventure. Thai culture and traditions are an essential part of daily life, too, integrated through language lessons and community events.

YEARS 3-6

KEY STAGE 2

Learning at Key Stage 2 is engaging and increasingly challenging, ensuring our children are prepared for Secondary.

Students deepen their understanding in English, Maths, and Science, and benefit from specialist teaching in Thai, Mandarin, Music, Drama, PE, and Art. Using creative approaches, our teachers ensure lessons are varied, interactive, and personalised. Subjects are enriched by international themes and perspectives, shaped by our membership of Round Square. These encourage students to be curious, ask questions, and develop a global outlook.
