Regent’s International School Bangkok welcomes children of all nationalities and backgrounds. We accept applications all year round and new students can start at any time.

Our holistic boarding programme, which offers a caring and personalised residential experience, is open to boys in Years 4-13 (ages 8 to 18) and girls in Years 6-13 (ages 10 to 18).

Your family’s application process will start with our friendly Admissions Team. They'll answer any questions you may have, explain the key steps, and schedule either an in-person or virtual tour of our school.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

STEP 1: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION FORM AND DOCUMENTS

After filling in our enquiry form and taking a tour of our campus, you’ll need to complete our application form. You can submit this at the end of your initial visit, by email, or online. You’ll also need to pay an application fee of 5,500THB.

Alongside your form, you'll need to send us the following documents:

A copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport.
A copy of your passport(s).
Two passport-style photos of your child.
Two passport-style photos of you.
A copy of your Thai ID card (Thai nationals only).
Copies of your child’s most recent school reports.
Where applicable, a copy of any educational psychologist or medical reports that will help us understand how we can meet your child’s learning needs.
A photocopy of your House Registration (Thai nationals only).

STEP 2: ASSESSMENT AND INTERVIEW

Once we’ve received your application, our Admissions Team will invite your child to an age-appropriate assessment and/or interview.

Early Years

Pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Reception children join us for a relaxed trial session over two half-days. Your child will spend between one-and-a-half and three-and-a-half hours in the appropriate year group, which includes time in class.

Primary (Years 1-2)

Students looking to join us in Years 1 and 2 spend two trial days in the relevant year group, including time in lessons. Parents will need to drop their child with us from 8.00am - 2.30pm on both days.

Primary (Years 3-6)

Prospective Year 3-6 learners sit Maths, English and Non-Verbal Reasoning tests, followed by a 15-minute interview with the Head of Primary or Secondary. If successful, your child will be invited to a one-day trial session in the appropriate year group.

Secondary (Years 7-13)

Students applying to join our Secondary programme sit Maths, English and Non-Verbal Reasoning tests. Your child will also join a senior member of our team for a short interview. The whole process takes between four and five hours.

Boarding

Alongside specific year group requirements, boarding applicants also have an interview with the Head of Boarding.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

STEP 3: OFFERING AND ACCEPTING A PLACE

We’ll write to you within 72 hours of the assessment to offer your child a place.

If a student is set to join our IB Diploma Programme (Year 12), the offer is conditional on them gaining the right grades in their exams. If they are taking IGCSE exams, for example, the minimum requirement is five or more grades at A* to C.

To accept the place, you’ll need to reply to our formal offer letter and pay our non-refundable enrolment fee within two weeks.
