Let’s Dough It : Our Year 1 Students Get Creative with Salt Dough!

Our Year 1 students have been learning about Animals in their Science topic. The children have been sorting animals into different groups and identifying their different characteristics. This week the children used salt dough to create animal models with different features. They were able to do this by applying their prior knowledge of; the main 6 animal groups (birds, fish, insects, mammals, amphibians and reptiles), vertebrates and invertebrates and carnivores, omnivores and herbivores.
