On the 9th March a small group of boarders and staff headed off to the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club in Pattaya for a great day of biking in and around the Club’s picturesque grounds and surrounding farmland. Following the ride we were all treated to a fantastic lunch from the Amari Orchid Pattaya, and a chance to make new friends while enjoying the scenery at one of the magnificent pavilions.
Thai Polo and Equestrian Club host Family Bike Day Regents' boarders attend Family Bike Day at the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club On the 9th March a small group of boarders and staff headed off to the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club in Pattaya for a great day of biking in and around the Club’s picturesque grounds and surrounding farmland. Following the ride we were all treated to a fantastic lunch from the Amari Orchid Pattaya, and a chance to make new friends while enjoying the scenery at one of the magnificent pavilions.

The Family Bike Day was a fundraiser for two local charities, Women With a Mission and Make-A-Wish Foundation . It consisted of three ride options:

  • A short trail ride of 2km suitable for children on balance bikes or training wheels.
  • A 10km mountain bike ride for children, teenagers and less adventurous adults familiar with mountain bike riding.
  • A 30km mountain bike ride – a seriously challenging mountain bike ride for people who have trained for off road and know how to handle sand, rocks, tree roots, river crossings and tight single tracks.

Well done to Andre, Tony, Totti, Nikita, Nick, Ice, Cartoon and Andy who all showed determination and true grit to complete the 10km and 30km courses. Mr Scott and Mr and Mrs Rand tried their best to keep up with the boys, and also earned their medals for crossing the finishing line.
