Cati Steed, who was a student at Regents for 7 years will be joining Swansea University later this year to read Chemical Engineering. She shares with us her initial reaction to receiving her IBDP results – an impressive 37 points: “I feel relieved and surprised. I didn’t expect to be going to Swansea. My favourite subject was chemistry, which is why I’m going on to study Chemical Engineering. To get in, I had to get a 5 in Higher Level Mathematics so I made sure to push myself, with the help and support of fellow students and Ms Batty, who really had faith in us.”

Hyundo Jhee has stated that he is more relaxed and laid back now that he has received his long awaited results. He is, in his words ‘chuffed’ to have gotten 39 points. After spending 12 years at Regents, Hyundo will be studying Business at Erasmus University in the Netherlands. When asked who helped him through the IBDP programme the most, he answered: “My favourite subject at Regents was English, taught by Ms Elapata. She is very inspirational and is the nicest person in the world, we get along very well together.”

One of our oldest students at Regents, is Matthew Aamlid who had been at Regents since Pre-Nursery. “My results were very much unexpected. In my Year 12 exams, I only got 17 points but in the real IBDP exams I got 30 points. After my mock results came back, Ms Batty was very motivating. She pushed me to work harder and to improve myself. Now I feel proud and very excited to be going to Reading University, where I will be studying Politics and Philosophy.”
