Sieon (Year 5) wins at the 4th TGA-Singha Junior Golf Ranking Tournament!

In August the 2018/19 TGA-SINGHA Junior Golf Ranking Tournament took place at the beautiful Silly Oak Country Club in Rayong. The course is a regulation par-72 layout with a variety of potential pitfalls to challenge even the most accomplished golfers.

Our very own Sieon competed in the Class-D Boy category and came home the winner with an impressive score of 151, scoring 77 on the first day and 74 on the second. “I achieved my goal in the big event this year!” said Sieon. His hard work and dedication showcases his talent in the sport and his bright future that lays ahead.

Sieon started playing golf 3 years ago with his father, but has since started training at TPR Golf Academy. After winning the ranking competition in August, he now qualifies to compete in the SINGHA Thailand Junior World Golf Championship in November. After this he will fly to Malaysia in December to compete in the Kids Golf World Championship.

Aksel and Jonas tour the United States!

Over the summer Aksel (Year 9) and Jonas (Year 7) competed in some selective junior golf tournaments across the United States, including the prestigious IMG Academy Junior World Championships in San Diego, for the sixth consecutive year.

Aksel competed in 3 tournaments run by the American Junior Golf Association. He produced fabulous results with a very high average score of 74.2. Aksel is currently ranked #45/534 in his class on the Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Jonas also competed very well. He had one top-five and one top-twenty finish with an outstanding average score of 78.7. Jonas has a current ranking of #49/111 in his class on the Junior Golf Scoreboard.

We are very proud of all of our talented students and that at Regents we can offer them opportunities beyond the ordinary. Our experienced Physical Education staff alongside the Sporting Professionals we bring in on a regular basis, provide our students with the opportunity to push themselves in a variety of different sports, ranging from swimming, football, volleyball and tee-ball, amongst others.

Being a member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) means that our talented students can compete with top level international sporting talent across Asia. We also compete with many other schools in the local area to ensure regular training and competition experience to help our students grow as lifelong learners.

With over 200 CCA’s, ranging from service, sport and art-based activities available to our students we provide them with opportunities beyond the ordinary, in engaging learning environments that ensure your child will love coming to school.
