Year 7 Students Host an ‘Expert Forum’ About Life in Secondary for Year 6 Students Last Friday, Year 6 students were joined by Year 7 students in an ‘Expert Forum’.

Last Friday, Year 6 students were joined by Year 7 students in an ‘Expert Forum’ held in the Secondary Learning Hub and tuck shop areas.

The Year 6 children were given the opportunity to ask their older peers any questions about ‘life in Secondary’, what things to expect, and got to spend their afternoon in the Secondary school.

Head of Year 7, Mr Moore says:

"The Year 6 children reported that this was a very enjoyable and useful afternoon and they are all very excited to make the transition!"

This is the latest of many transition programme exercises designed to help our Year 6 students feel comfortable, confident and at ease about the big move to the Secondary school next academic year.

Our last transition programme event also saw Year 6s and Year 7s working collaboratively in an orienteering event around the Secondary school; in which students had to look for different locations based on clues to unlock secret letters that spelt out ‘ADVENTURE’.
