How does the Performing Arts impact our world? By Mr. Graeme Spencer How does the Performing Arts impact our world? By Mr. Graeme Spencer, NAE Regional Lead for Performing Arts, South East Asia.

Nord Anglia Education is proud of its truly international community and values that the Performing Arts provides a universal language to support the growth of our students.

The world is becoming more and more dynamic and the ability to be adaptable is now a valued commodity. It is this innovation and imagination that many employers and companies seek to attract in their candidates. They want the creative thinkers, the challengers and the risk takers on their team.  Nord Anglia Education is proud of its truly international community and values that the Performing Arts provides a universal language to support the growth of our students. Through studying Performing Arts students learn teamwork, focus, dedication, creative thinking skills and build the confidence to express and communicate their ideas. The arts awaken cognitive development and cultivate students to think in new ways. There is incredible potential for the arts to support cross curricular learning.

Take a look at some of the talented students in action from Regents International School Pattaya.

This video shows Year 5 students exploring how Dance can be inspired by Science based topics. Following on from using ‘photosynthesis’ to inspire choreography trios, students have been exploring creative responses inspired by ‘root systems’.

The second video shows Year 8 students exploring how to devise choreography in Drama, inspired by exercises from the renowned theatre company ‘Frantic Assembly’. Students are using this work as a base for exploring how to develop their physicality in performance.

The last video shows Regents Mr Graeme Spencer, leading a masterclass in the ‘Cha Cha Cha’!
