In partnership with EStars, SISD will become one of the first schools to offer the BTEC Level 2 Qualification in Esports as part of the traditional school curriculum. This exciting new elective, open to students in Grades 6 and 7, is designed to equip young learners with the skills and experiences they need to thrive in the digital economy.
Far from being just about gaming, the Esports qualification opens doors to a wide range of dynamic career pathways, including team management, broadcasting, coaching, marketing, community management, event production, journalism, and more. It also builds core transferable skills like communication, collaboration, and digital fluency - skills that are vital in any modern workplace.
The Esports BTEC will be introduced alongside a suite of new, future-focused electives that complement our IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), including:
· Instrumental Music (in partnership with The Juilliard School)
· Computer Science
· Entrepreneurial Thinking
· Language Acquisition in French, German, and Spanish
Together, these electives reflect SISD’s commitment to nurturing not just academic success, but real-world readiness, innovation, and global citizenship.
