I qualified as a Fine Art and Slovak language teacher and I worked as a primary teacher for two years. I loved the work and it was a priceless inside school experience, but I felt it was time to leave Slovakia.
I moved to Dublin, Ireland, initially for a year, and as it happened, haven’t left for another 13 years. In Ireland I had worked in Preschool and Afterschool childcare settings, later moved to finances and sales and in my last job I worked as customer experience officer.
Having had an experience of relocating to another country and living life of a foreigner, I’m back to a similar situation, re-discovering my own lovely homeland yet again. I say Ireland is my second home and green half of my heart will miss it.
I’ve always loved children, I’ve been involved in many voluntary activities with children
and young people over the years (long term with Scouts). I admire their unique and unspoiled world of wonders. Having my own family now makes me appreciate it and enjoy it even more.
