The second Year 6 Residential took place last week. The students and teachers travelled down to Rayong on the Eastern Seaboard to enjoy activities planned and run by WildPlanet.

Last week featured fantastic performances of the High School production of “Our House”.

This year’s annual exhibition celebrates the work of 9 young artists who have curated a diverse show of traditional and contemporary media, including painting, sculpture, video and digital art.

It was wonderful to see the High School language students come over to the Primary School for some “buddy reading" with children in their home languages.

Our Juilliard music consultant - Brian Drye - had a great two days working with the music teachers and students across the school.

We are proud to announce that team Matrix with Nitnem and Faye from Year 11 and Anish and Sanyam from Year 10 achieved the highest award and will be going to compete in the world championships at the end of April.

Ms Heidi has a special knowledge and skill of SCUBA diving and she shared her experiences and demonstrated her equipment with the children.

On Friday before the half term we welcomed back Year 3 students from their residential experience in Kanchanaburi. From talking to teachers and students, it is clear that they had a really fantastic time and got to know themselves, their friends and their teachers a whole lot better.

This Year 12 project aims to build equal learning opportunities for those less fortunate with fewer resources and tackle inequality by equipping them with skills needed for success in the 21st century.

It was lovely to be able to see the students challenging themselves during their archery, bushcraft, climbing, cooking.and kayaking activities, but also to see them spending time with each other, and with their teachers, in a very different environment.

It is such a great honour to be able to host TISAC sports, arts, music and drama opportunities for our students to share and work with others in this group of international schools.

It was great to see High School students returning to school after their Residential experiences at a whole host of locations within two to three hours’ drive from Bangkok.

On Wednesday evening last week, I was honoured to represent St Andrews at an intimate and meaningful event, hosted by the Embassy Of Israel In Bangkok, to commemorate Friday’s International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

We are all very excited about our upcoming Residential Weeks, with over 500 students on five different Residentials next week and over 200 students on another three Residentials the following week.
