St Andrews International School Bangkok is always proud of all the achievements of our students but we would like to highlight here the phenomenal success of one of our younger students in golf.
This student saw golfing trophies won by her father and grandfather at home and wanted to get in on the action. Her idol is Pro Areeya Juthanugarn (Pro May) who inspires her in all her training and tournaments.
This young lady has gone from strength to strength and two years ago started travelling to the US to participate in international golf tournaments and her results have been out of this world. In 2017 she won the Kinnaree Trophy, the Sports Recognition Award of Thailand. This year alone she qualified to represent Thailand at the IMG Junior World Championship and the FCG Callaway World Championship both of which will be held in California. In March, she won the Future Junior Thailand competition and qualified for the AMG Thailand Junior Golf Tour. She also finished second overall at this year’s FOBISIA Golf Tournament held at Black Mountain, Hua Hin. Her list of golfing achievements is very impressive and has been steadily growing. We are delighted that she is part of our growing Flames Golf team and while she is a shy girl, her friends and the school environment are helping her gain confidence in her English skills.
Eloise reflects on her experiences representing St Andrews International School at the annual Remembrance Day service hosted by the British Club in Bangkok. She expresses her deep gratitude for honouring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and the pride she feels in continuing a family tradition while representing her school and community. Eloise emphasises the importance of this meaningful event in fostering remembrance and appreciation.
Students at St Andrews International School Bangkok have begun an exciting artificial intelligence project: integrating Nord Anglia’s “Misty the Robot” with conversational AI model, ChatGPT. Under the guidance of our Head of Robotics, Mr Rob Parker, they recently presented their results to Regional Managing Director, Mr Shaun Williams, as well as the Board of Directors at St Andrews, with the proposition of growing this project as a collaborative research venture across Nord Anglia schools.
With the goal of providing meaningful help to the flood victims in the northern regions of Thailand, our entire community at St Andrews Bangkok came together to raise funds and donations for the affected families. In the span of a few short weeks, added to donations of food and clothing, we managed to raise an astounding total of 386,676.50 THB in donation funds. To all students, teachers, parents, and staff who participated in our efforts and contributed to this cause—thank you!
