The whole school participated in the national celebration of Loy Krathong...St Andrews International School Bangkok will be the site for the international conference on Achieving Excellence in Early Years Education...A wonderful Juilliard specialist will be working with our students and teachers next Monday.
It was amazing to see how the whole school community embraced the spirit of Thailand’s Loy Krathong celebration by coming to school dressed in traditional Thai costumes. The assemblies at both Primary and High School served as the perfect backdrop for everyone to learn more about and appreciate this wonderful festival. More context came via all the fun, cultural activities happening throughout the day. Some truly unique and creative krathongs designed by our students found their way home for families to float together on their local waters - the wonderful culmination of this annual Loy Krathong tradition.
15-17 November our school will be hosting teachers from international schools based in Thailand as well as those from other countries within the region. The focus of this staff training is “Achieving Excellence in Early Years Education” and will include a series of workshops and practical sessions allowing teachers to discuss and review best practice led by Kym Scott. The goal of this conference will be to guide educators on how we can create the most rewarding challenges, while still providing a safe learning environment for our youngest learners.
The week beginning Monday 18th November, we shall have the Juilliard specialist performer and teacher, Ms Donna Costella, coming to St Andrews. She will be working with our dance teachers and children across the school, and inspiring them through dance. We are all really looking forward to Donna being in lessons throughout the day.

As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
Congratulations to St Andrews senior student Natalie, who received an offer at the University of Bath to pursue a degree in Psychology. Have a read to learn more about Natalie’s perspective on the IB Diploma Programme and the endless possibilities that await her exploration.
Congratulations to senior student Ananya, who received an offer at University College London to pursue a degree in Politics and International Relations. We discussed her experience during the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews and her ideas and aspirations for the future. Read on!
