Congratulations to Sayantika C, who has received offers to study Chemistry from a number of top universities in Canada and the UK!

Learn more about Sayantika's university offers, motivations to pursue a degree in chemistry and all of her highlights & involvements at St Andrews below...

What are your motivations to pursue a degree in chemistry?

"I have always enjoyed learning sciences at school and how intricately chemistry explains phenomena in the world. Studying IB chemistry showed me the usefulness and real-world applications of chemistry, which I am more curious to explore at university. I also like how there is an equal amount of theoretical and practical work involved in the course. As I am not quite sure what exactly I want to do in the future, I feel that a chemistry degree offers me a range of career choices and transferable skills that will be handy in the future."
