What are your motivations to pursue your chosen university course?

My motivation to pursue a Business-related university course is because it will allow me to learn all aspects of a business. I believe a business course will give me a wide range of career pathways. It is also an adaptive and applicable subject that will give me the skills and knowledge to help improve day-to-day operations or to solve potential problems for businesses.

How many countries did you apply to, and why?

I applied to Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Canada. Hong Kong and Singapore: I chose these places as I wanted to live in a city. It’s quite similar to life in Bangkok and also close to my hometown. The United Kingdom and Canada: The reason I applied to these two countries were mainly for the culture. I have not been to Europe or North America before so studying in these two countries would allow me to widen my exposure to other cultures.

What country are you most interested in, and why?

Probably, Hong Kong or Singapore, as these two countries are two of the biggest financial hubs in the world, studying in these two countries would widen my exposure to the financial world. It would have the advantage of getting internship opportunities.

What do you think was the most important aspect of your High School life at STA?

Participating in so many different activities has definitely prepared me for my future life. I think High School is like a mini-society. It is a stepping stone to understanding how best to manage our lives in the future.

Learning how to manage a work-life balance.

Can you name two of the most influential people in regard to your university choices and applications?

The two most important people are my parents. When I hesitated in choosing my career path during my High School years (especially at the start of IB), my parents gave me a lot of room to find my own path and were always supportive. I am very thankful to them.

What are the 3 biggest things you will miss about St Andrews?

  1. Khao soi (northern Thai curry noodles) in the school canteen of course! haha

  2. Nice teachers.

  3. Friends in STA. They are amazing, fun and supportive. I feel that I have been in a close-knit community during my four years at STA.

What do you see yourself doing in 5 to 10 years?

I think I will be either working in the financial field (most likely), or probably other potential job fields which I may discover during my undergraduate times (possibly social work because I have a huge interest in that as well).

If you were to make your motivational quote, what would it be?
