U19 Volleyball The U19 Volleyball players have been showing great commitment to the sport this week by engaging in an after school virtual conditioning session and a meeting on how to be a match official.

The U19 Volleyball players have been showing great commitment to the sport this week by engaging in an after school virtual conditioning session and a meeting on how to be a match official.  

A good number were able to attend the online conditioning session where the focus was on core and leg strength and balance.  

The first “How to officiate volleyball” meeting focused on the different officiating roles, how to score and be a line judge. Again, there was a good turnout from the players and next week there will be a focus on the roles of 1^st and 2nd referees, learning the rules in greater detail and the relevant calls and hand signals required in a match. Once we are back in real life, we will be putting all these new skills into action in training, ready for future matches.
