Hygiene superheroes in Reception

The children in Reception have had amazing amounts of fun whilst developing their knowledge of personal hygiene this week!

Aided by an array of helpful characters, such as Doctor Dog and Super Soap, we have set off on our learning journey to find out what we can do every day to keep ourselves, our friends and family members healthy. Every time the children washed their hands, they eagerly applied their excellent technique, following the steps on our posters, making sure to count to twenty or sing some familiar tunes to estimate the time spent lathering up the soap. We have had a blast becoming scientists for a day in order to investigate why using soap is so important in the first place. Boys and girls in Reception have been vigilant with their coughs and sneezes as well, remembering to use their elbows, not hands, to catch those pesky germs. The Reception children have truly been superheroes in their daily missions to look after their hygiene and health!
