Yesterday, Year 2 had an amazing day!
We started our Exit Point week with a trip to the Warsaw Spire and it's surrounding buildings. To begin the end of our Milepost 1 unit, BUILDINGS, we travelled to the Wola district and examined the old and the new buildings in the area as well as the building site which is soon to become a new building, The Bridge. On the 40th floor of the Spire, we were treated to some snacks and on the 41st, to a presentation about the newer buildings in the area as well as the amazing views from 200m above the ground! Finally, back on the 1st floor of an older building, we observed structures in Warsaw which have survived the war as well as the foundations for The Bridge coming in 2023! Huge thanks to the families involved in getting us permission to get into The Spire as well as treating us to snacks, memorabilia and a special day out! The Exit Point continued and continues in class and in the Williams Gym today and tomorrow as we prepare our own famous structures from around the world and posters about them for exhibition tomorrow after lunch for our friends in Primary School as well as TBSW staff!
