Message from Our Principal - February 25th

Message from Our Principal - 25th Feb 22 | TBS Warsaw - message-from-our-principal
Message from Our Principal This week, our thoughts are with members of our community who have friends and relatives affected by the military action in Ukraine.

This week, our thoughts are with members of our community who have friends and relatives affected by the military action in Ukraine.

Despite all reports strongly suggesting that military action was likely, we all hoped that diplomacy would provide a peaceful resolution. Following recent developments, it is now even more important that we make sure that everyone in our community feels respected and to treat everyone with kindness during these anxious times. During class sessions, teachers will be helping children to make sense of the world we live in however please do reach out to class teachers and form tutors if your child is personally affected. This will help us to provide special support and care for your child.

On a brighter note, I was very happy to welcome characters from Ancient Egypt and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this morning on the gate. Celebrating learning at the end of a topic is always rewarding and IPC Exit Points often provide a fun way of showcasing newfound knowledge. I was thrilled to learn about buildings across the world as Year 2 displayed their models and informative posters in a special exhibition yesterday. The diversity of our students really paid dividend as they shared buildings from India, China, Poland and Spain to name just a few! In Year 3, the sampling of specially designed chocolate bars by our innovative and creative students was another delight for me this week. Oh, and I must mention the fact that this newsletter has been taken over by Year 6 students this week as they have been researching various topics in the news and creating their own news as part of their IPC learning.

Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful, caring PTA. Fat Thursday is an occasion I had never encountered before arriving in Poland, however it is certainly a lovely treat to have donuts delivered to all members of the community on a dedicated day each year.   You made us all smile this week!

I do hope you all enjoy a lovely break and look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 7th March.
