Serious Syncopation

Year 9 Music have been developing their knowledge and understanding of syncopation.

They used their critical thinking skills to create a syncopated rhythmic pattern from 8 crotchet beats by changing note lengths, adding ties, thus creating a rhythmic ostinato. They then rehearsed collaboratively, each sustaining an independent syncopated ostinato line to create a final polyrhythmic performance.
