Intermediate Biology Olympiad Success

Intermediate Biology Olympiad Success - Intermediate Biology Olympiad Success
A group of Year 12 Biology students took part in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad.

The competition is open to students in the first year of post-16 education anywhere in the world and administered by the Royal Society of Biology. Over 14,000 students from over 700 schools worldwide took part in this year's competition.

The competition stimulates students’ curiosity for the natural world and encourages them to take an interest in Biology outside of school. All the students did superbly well and are commended for their efforts.

Furthermore, Sonia G. and Alicja Z. achieved silver awards placing them amongst the top 15% of students in the world), and Nadia C., Michal G., Ruby H. and Mikolaj Sz. achieved silver awards placing them amongst the top 25% of students in the world.

Congratulations to all the students who took on the challenge. Students who took part in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad are encouraged to reference their participation in their further/higher education applications.

Next academic year there will be even more opportunities in Science to take part in a number of international competitions which we encourage all students to take part in.
