Nursery Classroom News - Mini Sports Day & Swimming lessons

It has been a very busy and active week in Nursery. We started our swimming and the children all looked very smart in their BSB swim suits and coloured swimming hats. The children were confident walking and jumping in the water. They played a game and had to collect the small hoops and put them back in the box. They had a lot of fun and now we really look forward to Monday mornings.

We have also been very active in the classroom doing a daily WOD ( work out of the day) . These exercises included some sit ups, push ups and frog jumps. The children were very clever at designing these WOD’s and then counting the number of exercises they had to do.

We also had our own mini sports day and the children did an amazing job jumping over hurdles and crawling through tunnels and jumping from hoop to hoop. They also had a potato and spoon race, the children were very careful at balancing the potato on the spoon and not letting it fall off! We have also been talking about what are healthy choices when we decide what we are eating.
