Another amazing day started this morning with a big bang, the house gong. After a hearty breakfast we headed out for a morning of culture. We visited the Kung Fu museum, where we learned about the importance of Kung Fu in PingYao. From there we prayed for our mental enlightenment at the Confucius temple. There was a large statue of Confucius, with a portrait on the side to show how he was idealized, with all of his physical imperfections taken out. On our way back we visited the scary PingYao prison, with a live mock trial.
We then headed back to the hotel for some down time and lunch, before an afternoon of dumpling making, paper cutting, mask designing and calligraphy.
We finished this activity filled day with some moon light shopping, where the children practised their barging skills.
Children are all now tucked up in bed ready for more PingYao adventures tomorrow.
