The PIPS music programme for Primary children introduces the various instrumental choices available to them and assists the children in making an informed decision regarding the instrument they will play for the next two years. No parents need attend.
The PIPS music programme is introduced to children by our Music Director Mrs Marguerite Chaplin.
In Primary school, the Primary Instrumental Programme (PIPs) is offered to all students in Year 1 to 6. Students study music for two hours each week, made up of one hour of Curriculum work and one hour of PIPs.
The following instruments are taught:
- Year 1 - Recorder
- Year 2 - Recorder
- Year 3 - Violin or Cello or guitar
- Year 4 - Violin or Cello or guitar
- Year 5 - Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, French Horn or Trombone
- Year 6 - Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, French Horn or Trombone
There is no additional cost for these music tuition lessons.
