In 2011, I qualified with a Drama degree from the University of Greenwich in London, England. Having volunteered in schools for 18 months, I was inspired to work with children on a permanent basis. I then went on to become a Teaching Assistant before gaining my Teachers Qualified Status in 2014, specialising in Mathematics. I have taught lower Key Stage two as well as Key Stage one within a primary school in South East London for two years covering all core subjects. During my time at this school I ran Drama afterschool clubs and was an instrumental part of their Maths Co-ordination team which helped to reshape the structure of teaching mathematics for young children in KS1.
I am keen to share my learning experiences with children across world, particularly in how fun and innovative you can become when leaning about numbers, which is why I have chosen to become part of BSB .
It has always been an ambition of mine to travel the world. As I have always loved working with children, I have found teaching is an excellent platform for sharing and gaining new experiences. I am also very passionate about values such as confidence, self-motivation and the promotion of using a growth mind-set. I am really looking forward to the experiences I share with people in China as well as the new challenges that await me!
