I have taught in Ofsted-rated ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ schools in challenging areas in London after completing a Sports Science degree at the University of Exeter and PGCE at the University of East London in the UK.
I have a huge passion for teaching PE and the benefits of sport, and I aim to inspire this in the pupils I teach. I take great pride in my profession and have high expectations which challenge pupils to excel. I have taught across all Key Stages and delivered GCSE and A-level examination PE. After teaching in London I wanted a new challenge in a contrasting environment and BSB and Beijing offered me the perfect opportunity to achieve this.
I am currently Head of Year and have inherited a fantastic year group who I am looking forward to taking through to the end of their GCSE exams. My previous year group was incredibly talented and achieved the schools best ever results, and I am confident this new cohort can exceed even their achievements.
I am a keen swimmer and compete in open-water competitions and charity events, most recently for the Stroke Association and Dementia UK. I play competitive rugby for the Beijing Devils and enjoy a host of other sports, performing to wildly different standards! When not teaching or playing sport, I love travelling and experiencing new cultures. I am thoroughly enjoying living in China and have only scraped the surface in terms of what Asia has to offer.
