Admissions Criteria

We find that children thrive best in their correct class age groups. Our differentiated teaching accommodates students who need support and stretches those who are more able.

Early Years  - Year 2

(age 3 - 6)

  • Children must be dry (no nappies/diapers).
  • Children will be assessed by attending an observational visit to the classroom.

Year 3  - Year 6

(age 7 - 10)

  • Students will be assessed by an online cognitive ability test and an English assessment if English is not their first language.
  • Those entering Year 6 need a good level of English proficiency.

Year 7 - Year 9

(age 11 - 13)

  • Students will be assessed by an online cognitive ability test and an English assessment if English is not their first language.
  • A reasonable proficiency in English is required by all students.

Year 10 - Year 13

(age 14 - 18)

  • Students need to be proficient in English.
  • All students will be assessed by an online cognitive ability test and an English assessment if English is not their first language.
  • Before being admitted to the school, we will need evidence that they are able to complete the demands of these exam years.
  • We will need to discuss whether we offer the appropriate subject choices.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

We have a dedicated team of learning support specialists who can provide for a range of needs. The provision is limited, however. If your child has social, emotional, academic, physical, developmental or behavioural challenges, you need to discuss this with us fully at the application stage. We may not have the capacity to cater for your child and it is better to know this before proceeding.
