Our primary students (Years 1-6) follow the English National Curriculum, which teaches the fundamental knowledge and skills every child needs to flourish. As well as focusing on English, Mathematics, and science, your child will develop personally, socially, and emotionally.
Key Stage 1 curriculum (Years 1-2)
At Key Stage 1, our children develop their core English and Mathematics skills, as well as following a broad curriculum that includes art, geography, history, science, music, Hungarian culture, and PE.
Our children learn through a variety of approaches, including projects and themes that span different subjects. Students’ achievements are celebrated in colourful classrooms through displays and samples of work.
Our teachers bring learning to life in practical ways, too. This includes trips to local museums and places of interests. Physical development is also important, and our children take part in a variety of team games, outdoor activities, and sports. In Year 3, your child will also go on their first overnight residential, which is held during the summer term.
Key Stage 2 curriculum (Years 3-6)
Our Key Stage 2 curriculum is full of exciting and stimulating learning experiences – in and beyond the classroom – which encourage our students to collaborate, ask questions, and share their knowledge.
Students study English, maths, science, music, geography, history, art, and PE. From Year 3, our students take part in our world languages curriculum, learning either Hungarian (for native speakers), French, or additional English language.
In our bright and welcoming classrooms, teachers and children take great delight in their work, proudly displaying their learning. The latest interactive education technology is embedded across all subjects and our students also get an early introduction to computer coding. From Year 4, children have access to our Global Campus online platform, enabling them to collaborate and learn alongside thousands of students across the Nord Anglia family.
We run weekly Hungarian culture sessions that encourage a respect for and understanding of the traditions of our host country. Children can also learn a range of musical instruments through our peripatetic programme and join one of our many creative co-curricular activities.
Our children go swimming and enjoy a variety of team games and individual sports, including competing in Nord Anglia Education sports tournaments.
All our Key Stage 2 students take part in two or three-night residential camps. These are great opportunities to explore different surroundings, grow in independence, learn new skills, and form strong relationships.
