Find out more about our Sports Department and TEAM BISB!

Team BISB

In addition to a full and rigorous programme of physical activity as part of the curriculum, sport is a key component of our learning enrichment provision beyond the classroom.

Team sports are offered over the course of the year including football, basketball, volleyball, tag-rugby and cricket.

In addition to friendly matches with other local and regional teams and schools, our TEAM BISB competes in the forming Budapest Cup run by four international schools in Budapest, in the Nord Anglia Education Sports Tournaments and the Danube Valley Athletics Conference (DVAC) competitions in varying locations around Europe.

Students are encouraged to play both competitively and for fun; there is no obligation to enter the tournaments.

If a student wishes to represent TEAM BISB at the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) or the Danube Valley Athletic Conference (DVAC) tournaments, festivals or inter-school fixtures, the Team BISB Selection Criteria will be applied as part of the team selection process.

BISB Secondary Interhouse Sport Events

All Secondary Inter-house tournaments are organised in Physical Education lesson time. This enables every child to attend these sport events as a player, as an official or as a leader.
