Monika joined BISB in 2010 when she moved to Budapest from Frome, UK. A native of Hungary, she joined the school as the editor of the weekly parents’ newsletter. Later she joined the Early Years Team as an assistant. Before starting a family 12 years ago, Monika used to work as a journalist, event organizer and PR assistant.
Monika enjoys teaching in the Early Years Centre and values the children’s independence and creativity. Weekly Hungarian culture and craft sessions and also EAL lessons provide a great opportunity for Monika to engage with each child individually. She also puts a great emphasis on children’s emotional and social wellbeing.
In her spare time, Monika enjoys family life with her husband, 2 children and the family dog, Sunny. She likes reading books by Jo Nesbo, knitting, making and mending things and cooking.
