Marion started her career in England but came to Hungary in 1982. She taught English language and translation at Budapest University’s Teacher Training College and Pazmany Catholic University. She is co-author of the A-Z of English Grammar, and has contributed to various other Hungarian books on English language acquisition.
Marion joined BISB (then MBIS) in 1999.
Marion finds great satisfaction in working as an IB tutor which she has done for the past 12 years, and in the role that the acquisition of academic English has played in the success of students going on to university in the UK and elsewhere. It continues to be a privilege to be a part of the ambition and success of these students.
Marion has written two books on living in Hungary (communist and post-communist) and has a website about life in Budapest in the 1970s and 80s. Her main interests are classical music and concert-going.
