For A Levels, there were also improvements across the board. The British School of Guangzhou continued its year-on-year strength in this qualification, with more than 50 per cent of students’ grades being at A*/A for the fifth year in a row. As an organisation, NAE was well ahead of global averages, particularly in A*/B which increased from 56 per cent in 2017 to 67 per cent this year.
But perhaps the curricula that truly carried the day among all these successes was the I/GCSE. As we’ve shared earlier, this year’s I/GCSE grades at A* to C were 90 per cent (compared to the UK average of 67 per cent) – a truly amazing achievement. Congratulations especially go to two of our schools who achieved 100 per cent 5+ A*-C scores (including English and Maths). These schools are The International School of Moscow and The British International School of Charlotte, whose first ever student to take I/GCSE reached the benchmark!
We are so proud that our students and schools continue to achieve academic results exceeding national and global averages. The academic year for 2017/18 was a standout year, and we are sure this upcoming year will be even better.
