BIS Hanoi student Pham Bui Gia Khanh, currently in Year 12, recently had the honour to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Summit of the Future Action Days. This event gathered young leaders from around the globe to engage with policymakers and discuss pressing global issues.

The BIS Hanoi International Festival captures the spirit of togetherness, bringing the school community together to celebrate culture, enjoy diverse cuisine, and forge meaningful connections. This year’s event was a great success, leaving everyone excited for the next one.

In the wake of Typhoon Yagi, which caused severe damage in northern Vietnam, BIS Hanoi partnered with the British International School HCMC to launch a joint Typhoon Relief Appeal. 

Last weekend, a group of intrepid students embarked on a Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey that took them deep into the captivating landscapes of Mai Chau, Vietnam.

Welcoming 42 students from across four Nord Anglia Schools in Vietnam: BVIS Hanoi, BIS HCMC, and BVIS HCMC, our Year 5s and Year 6s absolutely loved the chance to collaborate and connect with other student leaders from across the country. 

The team, established earlier this month, aims to raise awareness of safeguarding and child protection by empowering students to recognise potential concerns and know how to refer and report them.

Our Secondary Students participated in a range of interactive activities and lessons aimed at developing their skills and awareness in navigating the digital world responsibly and effectively.

The school came together in a special Moon festival assembly, showcasing Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage.

On September 12th, the British International School Hanoi successfully organised the highly anticipated Hanoi University Fair, with representatives from more than 150 universities worldwide in attendance.

This year’s results have been outstanding, with 45% of our students earning grades of A* to A and 86% achieving grades from A* to C.

On August 9th and 10th, led by Pham Bui Gia Khanh, Nguyen Khanh Linh, and Hoang Thai Anh (now in Year 12 at BIS Hanoi), the Chalk Road project team, consisting of 23 members who are high school students from BIS Hanoi and various schools in the city, successfully organised a series of extracurricular activities with the theme "Connect to Empower" for 1,400 students at Thanh Kim Primary and Secondary School in Thanh Hoa Province.

Students studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) at the British International School (BIS) Hanoi in 2024 have once again performed significantly above the global average.
