Following last year’s postponement due to poor weather, organisers and coaches waiting anxiously to assess the weather situation this year. Luckily, there were no such issues and the Concordia Soccer Day went ahead in glorious sunshine.
BIS Hanoi entered three teams from Year 5 and competed against a number of international schools, including BVIS Hanoi, Concordia International School, Hanoi International School, St. Paul’s American School, International School of Vietnam and Olympia. The aim of the event was to increase participation in sport and for children to gain positive experiences from sport.
Our three teams played well throughout, showed great commitment and teamwork and more importantly, showed excellent sportsmanship with one another and opposing players. Overall, BIS Hanoi won four, drew five and lost three.
