The Middle School team had a busy week with fixtures facing Concordia on Tuesday and Wellspring on Thursday. BIS have improved since the last match against Concordia (Lost 18-6) only two weeks ago but still struggled against a very tough opponent losing 9-2. Mr Langford was pleased with the result as the Boys team had improved their defensive system but offensively they struggled to score any points even though a number of chances had been created. Man of the match goes to Lam Phuc Thatch who drove the team on and showed great leadership skills driving the team forward.
BIS played their next match two days later against a strong Wellspring team. After the first quarter the team were 9-0 down but after a fast break was finished off with a layup, BIS grew in confidence and felt they could cause an upset. The coach of Wellspring sensed this and called a team out immediately. From then on BIS out played Wellspring all over the court and the offence was firing on all cylinders with Huy Anh, Duc Tuan, Gia Bao and Lam Phuc scoring the majority of the points. BIS won the match 33-20 and are looking forward to the next two fixtures on Monday and Tuesday. Man of the match goes to Duc Tuan.
