A Successful Tournament for BIS Lionhearts at U13 FOBISIA Games 2019 Our students recently competed in the U13 FOBISIA Games in Phuket. The Lionhearts walked away with a large haul of medals and trophies in swimming, athletics, basketball and football.

Our students recently competed in the U13 FOBISIA Games in Phuket. The Lionhearts walked away with a large haul of medals and trophies in swimming, athletics, basketball and football.

Students were highly competitive and showcased great sportsmanship during the 3-day tournament. The final results are as below:

Swimming: 3rd Place  

Athletics: 2nd Place

Boys Basketball: 1st Place

Girls Basketball: 1st Place

Boys Football: 1st Place ​​​​​​

Day 1: Swimming and Athletics

Students worked really hard to earn their medals today. Most of the students achieved their personal bests in their individual events in both competitions.

Day 2: Lionhearts devour opposition!

The boys competed in basketball and the girls in football today. The boys had a clean sweep to victory to lift the 1st place trophy. The boys showed resilience and integrity throughout all 6 matches. The girls had 5 wins and a lost to secure the 1st place trophy on the field. The girls showed determination and great teamwork. Both teams conducted themselves exceptionally and showed great respect for other competitors and the game. Tomorrow the boys will be competing in football and the girls in basketball.

Day 3: The boys were in the football tournament and girls in the basketball tournament today.

Both teams played exceptionally well; showing tenacity and determination throughout the day. At the end of the day the boys finished 1st in the football tournament and the girls 2nd in the basketball tournament. At the gala dinner the swimming and athletics results were revealed. The team came 3rd in swimming and 2nd in the athletics meet. Well done to the Lionhearts team! They have received podium positions for all the events. Special thank you to Mr Langford for his dedication to this team.
