BIS Hanoi alumni return to campus for a special homecoming

As BIS Hanoi celebrates its 15th year, it was a pleasure to welcome alumni back to campus for a special gathering on Thursday evening.
Graduates from across the years, including members of the Class of 2017, returned to reconnect with former teachers, revisit familiar places and reflect on their journeys since leaving BIS Hanoi. For many, it was a nostalgic opportunity to walk the halls once again, share memories and see how the school community continues to grow and evolve.

A key highlight of the event was the opportunity for alumni to meet with current Year 12 and 13 students. Through conversations and panel discussions, they shared insights into university life, career pathways and the lessons they have learned since graduation. Their experiences provided valuable guidance and inspiration for students who will soon be taking the next steps in their own journeys.

Among the alumni who returned was Miguel (Class of 2025), who is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham. Reflecting on a conversation with a teacher that stayed with him long after graduation, he shared:
"There's always room to be a better person. You can always learn from your mistakes and keep improving. That's something I carry with me to this day."
Miguel also spoke about one of the most valuable skills he developed during his time at BIS Hanoi and how it continues to help him succeed at university: "BIS Hanoi teaches you time management in such a natural way. You might struggle at first, but by the end of the Diploma Programme, it becomes second nature."

Now studying and working around the world, BIS Hanoi alumni represent a diverse range of fields and professions, from mechanical engineering and physiotherapy to data science and beyond. Their achievements are a testament not only to their hard work and ambition, but also to the strong foundations built during their time at BIS Hanoi.
The gathering was a powerful reminder of the lasting connections that exist within the BIS Hanoi community. While our alumni may have gone on to exciting new chapters around the globe, their Lionheart spirit remains an important part of who they are and continues to inspire future generations of students.
As we celebrate 15 years of BIS Hanoi, we are proud to see the impact our graduates are making around the world and excited to see what the Class of 2027 and beyond will achieve in the years ahead.
