Visitors at BIS!

Dear Parents,

This week our new BIS House t-shirts were launched in the Primary Assembly. Designed by Secondary students, working in House teams, the t-shirts will become part of our uniform for the next academic year. Each House has been allocated a creature which has a strong presence in the history of Vietnam. The Secondary students have taken the character represented by each creature and devised slogans to give a clear identity for each House team. I look forward to seeing the students wearing the t-shirts from August.

Other super events to celebrate this week include the Primary Live Lunch and our Juilliard alumni visit from Jason Crimi, a trombonist, and Jeffrey Holbrook who plays the trumpet. Both artists are currently playing in the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and it was great to learn from such talented musicians as they shared some of their expertise.

Next week, we will receive another very talented visitor at BIS. Mike Gatting OBE, a British sportsman who has played first-class cricket for Middlesex and also captained the England team will be at our school on Monday. Parents are welcome to join us to listen to and spectate as Mike demonstrates his skills with groups of students.
