Year 9's trip to Sapa Year 9 is having a fun trip at Sapa.

Year 9 is having a fun trip at Sapa.

Day 1 (15/10):

Fantastic first day in Sapa. After the long journey we had a lovely lunch in a local restaurant. We then had great fun walking around the local villages and exploring how people live. We’re now at our homestay and settling into the accommodation.

Big day tomorrow.....The Amazing Race!!!!

Day 2 (16/10):

Wow! What an incredible day. The weather has been really great and we’ve not had any rain....yet. All day we have been competing in The Amazing Race, which has required all of the students to participating in lots of challenges. We’ve all had great fun and the students have demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication and perseverance all day. The teachers are all very proud of them. When we returned from The Amazing Race, we learnt how to make local spring rolls and 5-color sticky rice, which was great fun. Tonight we have our quiz night!!!!!

Day 3 (17/10):

We’ve all had a excellent final day in Sapa. We started the day with farming activities where we helped harvest cassava and then planted rice. We had lots of fun but got very muddy. We then had the opportunity to explore a beautiful river and clean the mud off our feet. After lunch, we helped a local medical hospital build small walls in different places. The students were amazing construction workers and demonstrated great strength and teamwork. In the evening, we had a fantastic bbq dinner, followed by local dancing, student performances and some music by a fire. What a great final day.
