Striving for excellence at BIS Hanoi

Striving for excellence at BIS Hanoi At BIS we recruit outstanding practitioners to fulfil our promise to you and to ensure we deliver a world class education. In schools, when we talk about outstanding or excellence, this isn’t something that is achieved once and ticked off. Excellence is about consistently high standards and a drive to improve sustained by a desire for life-long learning, something shared between all of our dedicated teachers.

At BIS we recruit outstanding practitioners to fulfil our promise to you and to ensure we deliver a world class education. In schools, when we talk about outstanding or excellence, this isn’t something that is achieved once and ticked off. Excellence is about consistently high standards and a drive to improve sustained by a desire for life-long learning, something shared between all of our dedicated teachers.

One unique selling point of being part of the Nord Anglia family is that we are part of a bigger group which enables us to share expertise and learn from each other across the globe. Our promise to our teachers, is to ensure that they continue this journey of development as they progress through their careers, during their time with us.

There is a wealth of skills and experience across the highly qualified teaching team at BIS Hanoi and we continue to learn from each other and develop ourselves. Our passionate and committed staff lead inset and training during weekly meetings where teachers reflect on strategies, they are using within the classroom to support and challenge learners. In addition to this they are completing online courses through Nord Anglia University, other online training and Master’s Degree courses.

One example of in-house training and development for teachers is the Middle Leadership Training for teachers that has been spearheaded by Kate Fitzpatrick, Deputy Head of Primary. A group of leaders, at various stages in their leadership journeys from Primary and Secondary meet every half term.

All of the training, development and learning that staff do at BIS is for the students, who are at the centre of everything we do. Our drive to continuously improve is so that we can be better teachers, learners and leaders. We are all here for your children, to give them the best education and opportunities so that they can achieve their dreams and ambitions.
