Making a difference in people’s lives is extremely important to our school community. Staff, students and parents at BIS are committed to supporting others through a variety of charity activities. Last year, we launched Share A Dream, a social platform that empowers our school to effect social change and channel this goodwill into a practical tool for change.

In Term 1 this academic year, through this platform, our community organised six community services activities and dedicated 72 hours in volunteer work. We successfully collected 1,550 goods for donation and raised a total of $3,015.

From collecting donations to supporting the families in Central Vietnam to selling toys and Christmas cards to raise money for the Operation Smile organisation, we're very proud to see our students making a positive impact on these communities!

What is Share A Dream?

Share A Dream is an online social engagement platform for students, teachers and staff. It was designed exclusively to engage Nord Anglia Education schools, students and teachers in outreach activities. As an intuitive solution for social responsibility engagement, Share A Dream helps facilitate the good work happening in our school community, and gives students and teachers the power to effect positive, lasting change through activities. It is linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

How does it work?

With Share A Dream, our school can plan, execute and report on outreach activities and events, including volunteering and work with NGOs. Regardless what kind of social campaign is being run, we can easily track details from start to completion, along with information on fundraising amounts, number of goods donated or total hours volunteered.  Students and teachers can get involved in social activities based on the things they truly care about. For our IB students this can also link to their CAS projects.
