Key Dates | Primary Learning Highlights
Dear Parents,
It was wonderful to see so many parents attend the EYFS Stay and Play session on Wednesday, as well as the prior information session. Holly Carmichael’s presentation on the developmental stages of play for young children was informative and certainly set the scene for parents before they went to join in and play with their children. The session also addressed some misconceptions about play that can sometimes arise, and all the skills and learning that go on when children play were highlighted. It was an informative session that set the scene before parents went to join their children playing in the shared areas. We certainly look forward to more parent sessions throughout the year, exploring learning through play in the Early Years.
Following on from a successful assembly last week, the Primary House Captains led parent tours on Thursday this week. They did a wonderful job, and the feedback reflected how confident, mature, and informative the tours were. It is wonderful to see the students embrace a variety of scenarios and opportunities in their leadership roles, and it is amazing to see how much they’ve accomplished in such a short time.
This week’s spotlight on learning comes from Year 3.
Please don’t forget to pop along to our first BIS Hanoi Flea Market this weekend, on Saturday between 9 and 11:30. I’m sure you’ll pick up a few bargains before the holidays!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

As the academic year whirls by, the first term in primary school draws to a close, marking the end of a whirlwind of learning, growth, and new experiences.
As we move towards the end of term, our Primary exit points are always a great celebration of learning that has taken place over previous weeks and months.
At BIS, in addition to the excellent opportunities we are providing in the classroom, we enrich the students experiences and learning by taking them on day trips.
