Pham Bui Gia Khanh, a remarkable student from Year 11, has once again demonstrated her exceptional abilities by earning a High Distinction in the senior category of the prestigious 2023 John Locke global essay competition in Philosophy.

This outstanding accomplishment places her among the top 5% of candidates selected from a global pool of approximately 4,000 submissions from 130 countries.

The John Locke essay competition, known for its rigorous evaluation process, awards only three prizes: First, Second, and Third. Additionally, a limited number of students are recognised with High Distinction (4-5 students) and Distinction (5–6 students), totaling around 14–15 students globally. This year's competition witnessed an exceptional level of excellence, with the High Distinction threshold surpassing even the 1% mark. Gia Khanh's essay stood out among thousands of submissions, impressing the judges with its depth of analysis, critical thinking, and innovative ideas.
