Building Confident Readers from the Start
At BIS, we know that a strong foundation in phonics is key to developing confident, independent readers of the future. That’s why we use the Read Write Inc. phonics programme—a fun, systematic and playful approach that introduces sounds step by step, helping children aged 2 to 7 build fluency in both reading and writing. Our experienced Early Years and Infant English and Phonics leaders and teachers will guide your child through engaging lessons that make learning to read an exciting journey. From sharing stories and tuning into everyday sounds, to playing simple blending games, there are so many joyful ways to nurture your child’s phonics journey. Together, we’re laying the groundwork for a lifelong love of reading. We warmly invite parents with your children to join us for an interactive phonics workshop, where you’ll experience how our youngest learners are taught, see classroom resources in action, and gain practical strategies to support reading at home.
