At BIS HCMC, your child's wellbeing comes first. By openly exploring health and wellbeing with our students, we develop a supportive culture and inclusive ethos that ensures everyone thrives, both academically and beyond the classroom.
Our wellbeing curriculum comprises a range of activities and resources that are specifically designed to keep our students' minds and bodies healthy. The curriculum is underpinned by respected academic research, and supports the growth of the social and emotional competencies associated with greater health, wellbeing, and achievement.
Our curriculum also empowers our students socially, physically, and psychologically, giving them the tools to not only enjoy the great moments in life, but to also bounce-back in times of adversity.
The programme is based on the work of Professor Martin Seligman, whose PERMAH model is built around six key elements: positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, accomplishment, and health.
Our supportive community
In addition to our wellbeing curriculum, we offer a range of support to students and families in our community. We provide guides to the city and run workshops designed to help you settle in here. Our dedicated Parent Teacher Group run events throughout the year, too, including a city bus tour and regular coffee mornings.
