IB Visual Arts Exhibition 2019

IB Visual Arts Exhibition 2019 | British International School Ho Chi Minh City - ib-visual-arts-exhibition-2019
IB Visual Arts Exhibition 2019 For our IB Visual Arts students, the IBVA exhibition symbolises the proud conclusion to two years of creative study and effort

The Visual Arts Course of the IB Diploma Programme encourages students at the British International School, Ho Chi Minh City to challenge their own creative and cultural expectations. It is a thought-provoking course in which students develop analytical skills in problem-solving and divergent thinking while working towards technical proficiency and confidence as art-makers.

For our IB Visual Arts students, the IBVA exhibition symbolises the proud conclusion to two years of creative study and effort. After all of the challenges faced and conquered, the exhibition is their time to enjoy the happiness of successfully finishing their work and curating their own exhibition. This was an occasion made even more significant by hosting a viewing for family and friends here at BIS HCMC.

As part of the IBDP course Sayuri, Sienna, Ali and Hye-Jin presented eleven pieces of personally developed work alongside their important process portfolios and critical investigation studies. Each was able to discuss their concepts and ways of working most confidently and as they all explored very different styles and mediums, this made for a most exciting and diverse exhibition.

It really was the culmination of the students’ countless studio hours and long-standing passion for the arts, but for most this is just the beginning of their future careers in Art and Design. The majority of the group will now go onto study Art and Design at universities across the globe including Korea, UK and Japan. We wish them well!
