The end to another fantastic year of Sport at BIS culminated with the celebratory evening of the BIS Sports Awards 2018-2019, held once again in the wonderful setting of the Champagne Ballroom of the Novotel Saigon Centre.
This year saw close to 100 players, parents and coaches come together in an evening of good food, great company, speeches by the coaches and highlight videos of the SISAC seasons and FOBISIA games tournaments.
This night of awarding excellence, both for those winning the awards and the coaches recognising the contribution that others had made to the team, saw players named Player of the Season for their individual age group, as well as an overall Player of the Year for that particular sport.
Significant contribution to all four sports at the FOBISIA games were deliberated and decided and then the biggest sporting accolades at BIS HCMC, the Victor and Victrix Lodurum, for all-round sporting contribution in their BIS lives were awarded to our well deserved BIS Sports Stars. We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 class of 2024, for their impressive IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) results. This incredible cohort of 155 students, our largest IGCSE class in the history of the school, have significantly surpassed UK and international averages and were awarded 97% of all grades at A*-C. An incredible 62% of all grades awarded were at A*-A.
