Celebrating our 2019 LAMDA results At BIS HCMC our students are encouraged to pursue their interests and to engage in a range of activities beyond the classroom setting.

At BIS HCMC our students are encouraged to pursue their interests and to engage in a range of activities beyond the classroom setting. It is important for all of our students to be given the opportunity to develop and explore the things that they are passionate about.

Last year 68 students from the British International School, Ho Chi Minh City were entered for international examinations with the London Academy for Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).

LAMDA is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected awarding bodies. They have been offering practical examinations in communication and performance subjects for over 130 years. Some key benefits of the LAMDA examinations for our students include:

  • Development of performance skills and self-confidence
  • Building theoretical theatre knowledge
  • Evolving analytical skills
  • Improving communication skills with peers and wider audiences
  • For Level 3 LAMDA exams, these are further recognised within the UCAS Tariff for entry onto undergraduate courses at UK universities

We had students sit exams in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Reading for Performance. All of our students worked exceptionally hard and we are very pleased to announce that 10 of our students received distinction which is the highest mark issued.

We are also very proud of Daniel Battersby and Eshana Mishra who both achieved a pass with Merit in their Level 3 Gold award exams which is the highest grade for Acting examinations.
