ADMISSIONS STILL OPEN FOR TERM 2
Since the beginning of Term 1, Year 4 EAL (English as an Additional Language) have studied and practised hard on a range of English skills...
These skills include writing fictional portal stories; using rich and varied adjectives in their own writing; and joining clauses with conjunctions to build more complex sentences. Later in the term, students used the language of persuasion to sell things, which allowed them to participate actively in our whole school Enterprise Day. It was fun and great for language learning. Recently, the students took time to reflect on their learning this term and chose the skills they were most proud of. These wonderful personal learning reflection statements have been added to our EAL display board. Go and see what they have written on the second floor. This can also be viewed on the EAL blog: https://bishcmceal.blogspot.com
Following the Tet break, we will create interesting and engaging stories, using some really engaging vocabulary and drawing upon our own cultural experiences for inspiration.
